Hi Athlete Ally!

Welcome back to campus. We hope the start of the semester is going well for all of you.

This Monday (Feb 5) we are hosting a snack break in the SEC atrium. Swing by to study, unwind, or socialize; whatever you’re in need of most.

Also, Men’s Basketball is hosting a Pride Game on Friday, February 9th! It would be awesome to have a big crowd at this home game, and wear pride gear if you have any.

This month has been fantastic for Tufts athletics, and our team reps have been crushing it in every sport.

Men’s Basketball has improved to 16-4 on the season, with HUGE plays from reps Theo Liu and James Morakis. Morakis scored a season-high 24 points against Middlebury on January 27!

In their domination of Pomona-Pitzer, Women’s Basketball rep Sofia Gonzalez scored a season-high 19 points. Against Babson, rep Mikayla Paquette had 4 rebounds. Women’s Basketball now stands at 11-7.

In both the Tufts Invitational and Brandeis Tournament, Women’s Fencing rep Ayelet Book had key wins.

Men’s Squash rep Rohan Bhatia won his match against MIT in 3 sets helping Tufts go 9-0 overall.

Women’s Squash rep Chloe Bergam has had strong showings all month with victories against Colby, Stanford, and Williams.

Men’s Swim and Dive rep Dan Godino placed first in the 1000 against MIT with an impressive time of 9:33.75. Rep Emmett Adams took a big win at home against Bates going 50.72 in the 50 butterfly. Against Bates, Jack Madden went 24.08 in the 50 back placing second.

Women’s Swim and Dive rep Lara Wujciak won the 50m breaststroke in 27.95 and Abigail Miller got second in the 50 breast, helping Tufts to 198-84 home victory over Bates.

Tufts Ski Team rep Ben Sagerian raced this month at Middlebury.

Women’s Track and Field rep Amelie Wickham got 4th in the pole vault at the Tufts Jumbos invitational and Ayala Mehrota ran a season best time of 32.34 in the 200m at the Branwen-Smith invitational.

Men’s Track and Field came 1st in both Tufts Jumbos and Branwen-Smith invitationals. Congrats to reps Milo Goode, Jackson Kiefer, and Charlie Koenig!

There are big things in the works this semester for Athlete Ally and we are so eager to share them with you all! Stay tuned for another exciting event in late February.

Sincerely,
Peter McCormick (he/him)
